7th CPC Pay Matrix i.r.o. Officers of the Army, Air Force and Navy w.e.f. 1.1.2016: Modification to the Resolution
Regarding the revised pay structure in relation to the officers of the Army, Air Force and Navy, the amendment to the resolution issued through date 1 (7) 2016 of September 5, 2016, 2016/01/01

No. 1 (6) / 2016 / d (salary / service) - while its resolution no. 1 (6) / 2016 / D (Salary / Services) Notified in the Gazette of India, on 5th September 2016, the Government of India accepted the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission regarding officers of the Armed Forces.
And, while, in the category of those employees, the Government has stated that following changes in the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission are necessary:
(1) The Rationalization of Level 12 A and 13 Radiation Pay Matrix (IOR) index will be increased from 2.57 to 2.67. The Defense pay matrix (excluding Military Nursing Service (MNS)) will be extended to 40 steps similar to Civil Pay Matrix. Accordingly, the Defense Salary Matrix (excluding MNS) will be modified. The modified defense pay matrix is on Appendix 1.
(2) In order to improve the actual errors occurring in level 10b and level 12 of MNS's salary matrix and in view of changes in IOR in Defense Pay Matrix, the first stage of the same level of MNS's salary matrix also changes, accordingly, The pay matrix (MNS) will be revised. The revised MEN pay matrix is on Appendix 2
